With a heart for community outreach, I perceived a pressing need for single mothers and their children in one of the city's most underserved communities. As a response to a growing crisis in September 2019, I developed the program, ARMS (At Risk Moms). With the support of the Temple of Judah (Women's Fellowship) we offer support to Martin Luther King Middle School.  Each month the school's Community Inservice Coordinate identify the needs of at least one mom or family. Initially the idea was to encourage mothers and let them know their efforts are appreciated. Baskets with self-care and "make me feel special" items were donated."
Since September 2019, families have received monetary gifts to help pay for funeral expenses; fees to prevent displacement from hotels and homes.  In June 2020 $2000 was raised for two families to prevent homelessness. Special gifts are also given to children that grieve loss of an active family member.
